How To Use
Clindamycin should be taken with food and a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. Do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this. The oral solution of this product must be shaken well before using. Solution retains potency for 14 days at room temperature.
Side Effects
This medication may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, cramps, bloating and weight loss which should disappear in a few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. If diarrhea becomes a problem, do not take any anti-diarrhea medications. Contact your doctor.
Precautions
Before using this drug, tell your doctor your medical history especially of: liver or kidney disease, stomach or abdominal problems (colitis), any drug allergies. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this drug. This drug is excreted into breast milk. Though no problems have been noted, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Overdose

Overdose
- This medication must be used as directed. Clean and dry the affected area before applying the medication. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth or broken skin. If this occurs, rinse well with running water. Don't use more often than prescribed.
Notes
- This medication may cause dry, scaly or peeling skin, irritation or oiliness of the skin. Contact your doctor if diarrhea or stomach pain occur. Do not take any anti-diarrhea medications.
