The Enbrel® Co-Pay Card is open to patients with commercial insurance, regardless of financial need. The program is not valid for patients whose ENBREL prescription is paid for in whole or in part by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal or state programs. It is not valid for cash-paying patients or where prohibited by law.

The most common side effects of ENBREL are infections (like the common cold, sinusitis, and the flu) and injection site reactions. Injection site reactions have occurred, such as redness, itching, pain, swelling, bleeding, or bruising. These symptoms usually go away within 3 to 5 days.

Uses
This medication is used to treat certain types of arthritis (e.g., rheumatoid, psoriatic, and ankylosing spondylitis).
How To Use
Use this medication exactly as prescribed. This drug is given under the skin (SC) twice weekly or as directed. Learn all the preparation and administration instructions in the product package and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unclear on any information. Rotate injection sites.
Side Effects
Redness, itching, pain, or swelling at the injection site; colds; cough; headache; or nausea may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Precautions
Tell your doctor your medical history, including: immune system disorders, active or reoccurring infections, diabetes, certain brain/spinal cord disorders (demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis), blood disorders, heart disease (e.g., heart failure), allergies.
Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: other arthritis drugs (e.g., methotrexate, prednisone, leflunomide), immune suppressors such as cyclosporine. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Does Enbrel affect the immune system?
ENBREL is a medicine that affects your immune system. ENBREL can lower the ability of your immune system to fight infections. Serious infections have happened in patients taking ENBREL. These infections include tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria that have spread throughout the body. Some patients have died from these infections. Your healthcare provider should test you for TB before you take ENBREL and monitor you closely for TB before, during, and after ENBREL treatment, even if you have tested negative for TB.
Is Enbrel a cash payment?
This offer is not valid for patients whose Enbrel prescription is paid for in whole or in part by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal or state programs. It is not valid for cash-paying patients or where prohibited by law. A patient is considered cash-paying where the patient has no insurance coverage for Enbrel or where the patient has commercial or private insurance but Amgen in its sole discretion determines the patient is effectively uninsured because such coverage does not provide a material level of financial assistance for the cost of an Enbrel prescription.
