Uses

This medication contains digestive enzymes which help digest and absorb foods. It is used to treat symptoms of pancreatitis or other various digestive disorders.

How To Use

This medication works best if taken with or after meals. Swallow the capsule whole. Do not crush or chew it. The capsule may also be opened, the contents sprinkled on a small amount of soft food (e.g., gelatin, applesauce) and the food swallowed immediately without chewing.

Side Effects

Generally this medication is very well tolerated and side effects are mild if they occur. Diarrhea, cramping or stomach upset may occur when starting treatment. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Although very unlikely to occur, notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, severe stomach distress.

Precautions

Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: allergies (especially to pork). This medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
